Tinkerbell and Lagoon

Here are a few pics of Libby in her little Tinkerbell outfit my friend Debbie bought for her. Libby loves the butterfly on the skirt and goes around the house rubbing it and pointing to it saying "Utterfly".

Lake and I went to Lagoon with our neighbors on Saturday. He LOVED it. He and Grace (my neighbors daughter) are the same age so it was cool because they got to go on all the rides together. He keeps saying, "Goon Fun" and "I like GaLoon". I am assuming this means Lagoon???? I hadn't been in 13 years so it was cool to see how much better it's gotten. Definitely worth taking the kids to.
My neighbors and I want to make it an annual thing to go together since both of our kids are the same ages. Yay!!!

Mixture of Pics........

Here are some pictures of the kids. Libby and Lake are sporting a pink tutu in a few pics. Aunt Lana had got it for Libby as a birthday gift but Lake has taken it over whenever possible. Glad to know he is in touch with his feminine side. In Lake's defense, he can take a fall down an entire set of stairs and not even cry. :)

The picture of Lake in the toy box was cute because I came in his room and he was asleep in the box. By the time I grabbed my camera he had woke up but hadn't climbed out of the box yet. He looked so cute asleep in it because his head was laying right on his knee.

The picture of Libby in the purple and blue sweater is so cute. My mom bought that sweater from actual Eskimos in Alaska. It is all hand made and they only charged $12 for it. They literally sit in a big room and make things out of yarn. Crazy!

Last are some pictures of my mom and I in our Raccoon hats I found at a gas station in Montana. I bought them because they reminded me of my brothers hats when they were little. I swear every boy back in the day had a raccoon hat. I kept saying to strangers, "If you want a hat then you better get a Raccoon of your own". The funniest part was my mom stopping at a gas station to fill up. When she got out of the car a guy about her age looked over at her and just shook his head. I said to my mom, "Did you see that guy giving you a weird look for your Raccoon hat?" My mom then replied, "I can't help it if he's jealous."

Lake's First Day of Pre-School

Lake had his first day of pre-school on August 6. He loved it! Here are a few pictures of him before he went. He didn't want to put his back pack on at first, but by the time pre-school was over he didn't want to take it off.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming 2009

The kids and I went to Jackson Hole this weekend. It was pretty hectic with 2 little ones but overall a fun time.
Here is a quick synopsis of the pictures I am posting:

1. The kids getting pumped up to go on the trip (hence the cowboy hats). Even cowgirls like binkis -- according to Libby.

2. The kids and I getting ready to go on the gondola ride to see the Teton Mtns. Lake had a breakdown when we were done. He wanted to go again and again. He seriously LOVED the gondola ride. By the way, I just noticed I have Libby's monkey in a headlock. Oops!

3. Lake sitting on a wood ski rack in the condo. Leave it to my kids to bypass 20 other seats and want to sit on a small wood ledge in a corner.

4. Individual pictures of Lake, Libby, and myself while while in Jackson. We all had our typical faces on.

5. The big buffalo head that was hanging in the condo -- which Libby kept referring to as, "The Goat". I would tell her it was a buffalo and then she would say, "Hi Goat".

Kids Visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Elk Grove, CA

Grandpa Holmes sent these pictures of the kids visiting them this past weekend. They had a wonderful time as you can see.

Side note: Is it weird that I am jealous they can fit into a bucket of water? I wish I could have my own pool by putting some water in a bucket. Lucky kids!

Toddler Mom's.....This Post Is For You

Okay, so I don't normally post about items my kids eat. But, I felt I needed to let all the mom's who have toddlers know what is out there for the little ones. Yes, I am getting boring as I get older and I don't even care.
Here it goes......
The best snacks (that I have found) to feed kids 4 and under:

1. Mini Pringles. These come in different types of packaging and flavors. My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are small enough to eat but they still feel like the big chips. Plus, you don't get the huge chips that break everywhere.

2. Jr. Lunchables. These are great because all the turkey/ham, cheese, and crackers are little. They have diced up the cheese and meat so it is small and serve it with mini ritz crackers. Thank You Oscar Meyer.

3. Mini M&M's. These are little and the kids love to hold the plastic container it comes in. I actually fill the container with trix cereal once it is empty and the kids use it over and over. The truth is, I actually eat the M&M's then the kids get the Trix cereal when I refill it. See, we all win with this treat.

Just thought I would let my friends with kids know. If anyone out there has any cool treats they know about, please leave a comment as I am always looking.

p.s.
I normally take my own photos but out of sheer laziness I posted stock photos. Actually, I had to let people know those aren't my bitten off finger nails holding the chips. If I had bitten off finger nails, they would at least be polished *wink*. If I get motivated I will post my own so you can actually see my kids eating them :).
