Best Make-up Products and prices (in my opinion)

This glue is the best for strip lashes. It is about $3. It comes in clear and dark. I like the dark as it dries black and blends right into the false lash.

 Ardell Eyelash Adhesive, LashGrip

Here is the best "Marker" eyeliner. It goes on smooth and is very easy to use since it as simple as using a marker. I like this kind the best (it has a thin tip). You can layer it if you want it thicker. It is great if you wear false lashes as it hides the line of the lash if you put it on after you have glued your lashes on.
Maybelline EyeStudio Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner Black

These are the best false lashes. They are only $1 at target. They come in Natural and Dramatic. And, you can reuse them a few times.

It covers and moistureizes without making me break out.

I always like to let others know when I find a good product (us girls gotta stick together and great make-up and great deals). I am going to post the best products I have found....they do a great job and won't break the bank.

The Power of Make-up......

I had a friend ask me what I looked like without make-up as I wear it everyday. I am fine going without make-up but prefer to wear it to work. So, here it goes, a before and after picture........

Libby's Sweet Note.......

Mike was traveling for work. Libby wrote this note all by herself and said, "Mom, I wrote this for Mike. I want him to keep it forever." I have pictures but it is a little hard to read (5 year old handwriting). This is what the note said:

"Dear Mike,

I miss you so much. Come back home so I don't miss you again. I love you. Love Libby. For Mike"

Interviewing my 6 year old, Lake..........

Did a random interview with my 6 year old to see what he would say. It was spontaneous so I didn't have the questions written out. But, still cute to see his answers. Clip of the interview below:

Leaving Work Early............. to Color

I got my daughter, Libby, a bag she can decorate and color on. She didn't have time finish it last night. She told me I need to ask my boss if I can leave work early so she can complete it. If only it were that easy!
"Hi Boss, I need to take off early today because my daughter Libby really wants to finish coloring".

Clip of her telling me below......

The Best Dad Ever.....

This world has many heroes, some you’d know by name.

They give their best at what they do, so they deserve their fame.

But among all of the heroes this world has ever had,

There is not one admired more than the guy that I call Dad.

Perhaps not like the others, he doesn’t look for praise.

He’s heroic in his special way, in his thoughtful caring ways.

Perhaps he’s not as famous as the others that you see.

But he’s everything and so much more that heroes ought to be.

He keeps his word, it’s good as gold, on this you can depend.

He’s honest and he’s loyal too, he’s also a true friend.

When I hear about a hero, and the great things they have done,

It reminds me of my father, he is the greatest one…

Redneck Cake - Fun For Everyone

Cake Made for my friends birthday
Cake made for my birthday
Cake made for co-workers
My daugher and I made the cake together

Do you want a fun cake idea that doesn't involve baking? If so, read on.........

This is what I call a "Redneck" cake. You can term it whatever you want but I found this was the least offensive thing to call it.
This is how you make it (I had to alter a few things since there are no twinkies anymore *tear*):

You will need to buy about 8-10 boxes of goodies. Note that everything on this cake has to be prepacked as this is what makes it "Redneck" The best I have found so far for the cake are:
Twinkies (they make some by Little Debbie)
Zingers (all colors....red, yellow, and chocolate)
Ho Ho's
Snowballs (they are the chocolate cupcake with the marshmellow and coconut topping)
Zebra Stripes (also made by Little Debbie)
Mini donuts - all colors and flavors
Frosted Brownies
Mini Marshmellows
Spray Whipped Cream

You can really add anything you find in the treat isle as long as it is a cake like product. The more color you get the better.

You will need to get a large plate or tray. I prefer to use a baking sheet for the base (you don't want anything too classy for this cake).

Open all the boxes of the treats you bought. You can even throw the empty boxes on the floor while making the cake. It adds to the experience.

Once you have all of them opened, you cut everything into halves. This shows all the filling inside the treats.

Begin layering items. I start with donuts or brownies at the bottom to give me a good base. I start building up from there. Make sure to switch colors and have the cream facing the outer part of the cake. Ho Ho's look really good as the swirls give it a great effect.

Once you are all done layering (and it is really up to you how big you want the cake), you take a handful of mini marshmellows and throw it on top. You have to say "BAM" or "POW" as you throw it on there. That means your cake is completed.

Just a few more things and you are ready to get the party started......

Set the Whipped Cream next to the cake and some plastic forks. You are not allowed to have plates or napkins with this cake.....Only plastic forks.

You are ready to dig in now. Everyone gets a fork. They have to go stab the fork on the piece they want. You then spray Whipped Cream on the piece you have on your fork. You eat it, lick the fork, and keep it in your pocket. Everytime you walk by, you can take your fork out and get another piece.

You may think this is odd. But, I have found that adults actually like this cake better than kids. Maybe it brings back childhood memories of when it was okay to eat processed foods!?!

This is great for work parties, birthdays, or just because it's so darn fun to make.

Note: Please understand that the grocery store clerk will look at you weird when buying all these items. They look at you like you have a huge eating disorder. But, just ignore it and walk out with a smile knowing that you are going home to make the coolest cake ever.

I have pictures above to show how much fun people have eating this cake.........

Revamp this Frame in 30 minutes or less......

My mom gave me 2 pictures she was throwing out. They were prints of purple flowers with gold frames. I kept them for several months (as the frames were nice). I knew I wasn't going to use them in the house so thought a fun idea to reuse them with a little paint.

I took apart the frame, took out the floral picture. I glued paper over it and glued some jewelry to the paper.

I then put it in the frame and picked a paint color I thought would go with the paper and jewelry I had chosen. I ended up painting the frame a sage blue/green color.

This project took me about 30 minutes (if that). And, I love the way it turned out. It didn't cost me a penny as I already had the paint, paper, and costume jewelry.

I am posting the picture and frame before and after I revamped it.

Before Picture (the one my mom was throwing out)
After Picture
Paint for the frame
Sponge Brush to dab on the frame (I prefer it to using a paintbrush)
Paper I chose to glue over the floral picture

Ribbon I used to divide the 3 types of paper I chose

Finished Project with Jewelry attached to it

Finally Cleaned My Room......

Well, It had been about 2 months since I had touched my room. I am pretty sure it looked similar to what people's homes look like after a hurricane. Things just kind of landed everywhere. I wish I had a picture to show the high heel boot I found in my bed -- yep, just a single high heel boot. Don't know how or why it was there but I was happy to find it. Anyway, had to post pictures of my clean and organized room.....just so I can say that at one point and time.....I did have a chair in my room (which is normally hidden by clothes, shoes, etc.).
